This past weekend I was in Vancouver for Blog Podium. I’m seriously so happy I was able to attend and spend some quality time with some amazing local YEG bloggers. I don’t even know where to begin with this event, I flew in Friday after what seemed to be a disaster of a day (in an exam for 6 hours on minimal sleep) but I felt like I had so much energy the moment I was surrounded by these amazing ladies. The weekend was jam packed between drinking hand crafted beverages at Hotel Georgia, to eating seafood at Carderos on the Ocean there wasn’t much time to galavant around the city. I kid, the conference was the main highlight, it was seamlessly put together by the amazing Blog Podium team and the speakers that were brought in were absolutely fantastic. I’m honestly so sad I have to work and unpack all the boxes in our new apartment this week because I have so much to blog about!

How you know you’re at a blogging conference

Being inspired is a wonderful thing and I think sometimes in our busy, busy lives we forget to find things in our daily lives that inspire that flame deep within our souls. For the 150 attendees that were in the room this past weekend, writing is our passion and I feel like for at least myself that passion was relit this weekend. I’m excited to write and curate this blog, and I feel like in the past year I’ve missed this little space on the internet because I’ve visited it so infrequently. But, as I recently said, I want that to change, writing is my outlet and I want to take it more seriously, I want to build something and I want to make a difference. I’m taking blogging and my online presence more seriously and I hope you will come along for the ride… let’s grow this into something exciting!
