Time really does like to fly doesn’t it? Two years ago I started this little blog and since then there have been 461 posts! Since last year a lot has happened!

I’ve managed to get my net worth up from $25,000 to about $35,000 in the last year which is great considering I’ve been a full-time student for eight of the twelve months! Oh and as a couple we hit $50,000!

This past summer the boyfriend paid off all his debt meaning we were debt free. I saved up enough for a 3-month emergency fund, but then we decided we would save up a $12,000 emergency fund.

I also managed to save up $5,000 for retirement which may not seem like a lot but at 22 I’m pretty pleased. I decided this year that I was ambitious and want to be a millionaire by the time I’m 38, which is strange considering I took a pay cut with my job that I’ll be starting in September. I attended my first shareholder meeting and continue to invest in the stock market frequently. Oh, and I was also featured in Moneysense which was very exciting for me!

You all know I’ve been spoiled. Last April I spent just under a week in NYC, then I was in Oahu, followed by a trip with some ladies in Seattle! Tangerine then sent me to Toronto for 32 hours in November and I’ve just recently attended the 2nd annual Network of Empowered Women Conference in Lake Louise. Oh, and then there was my second trip to Hawaii…travel much?

This year we are planning our huge Europe trip, and I’m headed to Montreal with a friend later in the summer. I may try and sneak in a couple other little trips, but who knows at this point!

I moved to Calgary for a co-op term this past summer, met an amazing roommate who is now a dear friend and visit the lovely city that I will soon call home frequently. This also meant four months of long-distance love, which wasn’t ideal, but we made it work.

This year I finished my 52 week declutter project and my day zero project and I’m almost done my 100 happy days project and no-clothing challenge.

My Grandma passed away suddenly this summer which was really tough, but I was so glad to be surrounded by such loving friends and family.

We celebrated our 3-year anniversary and continue to have a wonderfully happy and loving relationship <3

So that’s my year in a nutshell! Thank you to all my lovely readers, your supportive comment have been wonderful. Here’s to another great year of blogging!
