A year ago the boyfriend and I had never been on a flight together. Within 365 we will have taken four international vacations together and I couldn’t be happier to have found a person (my best friend) that enjoys and values travel as much as I do. We agree on almost everything when we are travelling to new and exciting places which I couldn’t be happier about. I’m excited to reveal to you our travel plans for the rest of 2014 – you guessed it; we’re going to Europe.
The unfortunate thing is that the boyfriend can only stay with me for the first few weeks as he has to head back to work on his designation. Boo! Since this is the last summer I’ll have off … ever… I decided (after scrutinizing for months) that I would stay a few more weeks. My mom has decided that she is coming over for two of those weeks for some much needed mother-daughter-bonding. I couldn’t be more thrilled!
So without further adieu, here’s where we are at… I left out the dates we are travelling because… well you know, it’s the internet:
A: Reykjavik, Iceland (3 nights) B: London, England (2 nights) C: Paris, France (5 nights) D: Aix en Provence, France (2 nights) E: Nice, France (3 nights) F: Dubrovnik, Croatia (3 nights) G: Split, Croatia (2 nights) H: Rome, Italy (2 nights) I: Cinque Terre, Italy (2 nights) J: Florence, Italy (4 nights) K: Venice, Italy (2 nights) L: Vienna, Austria (5 nights) M: Zurich, Switzerland (3 nights)
Total days travelling: 40
* This includes the overnight flight to Iceland!
So there it is! We (the boyfriend and I) will be jet-setting off to explore Iceland, London, Paris and a few other southern areas in France and then my mother and I are off to Croatia and Italy. After that, I’m finishing my trip in Vienna and Zurich. I’m so excited, I love exploring new cities! I’ll be gone for 40 days, which is the longest I’ve ever been away from home. I feel like I keep repeating myself, but I’m so excited for this chapter of my life. I feel like I need to explore a little before I settle down into full-time work in September.
I’ll keep you posted on the budget in a post in the future!
