Last week I posted some amazing natural hair masks that will save your hair from becoming dried out! Not only do these hair masks turn your hair from dull and dried out to luscious and luxurious they can be made with ingredients in your cupboard. Originally, I was going to do one post for hair and face masks but after doing a little bit of research I had way too many ideas and had to split the post into two!

Oatmeal Face Mask

Mix 1/4 cup of oatmeal with hot water until it becomes a paste and then add 1 tsp of honey, 1 tbsp of lemon and 2 tsp’s of yogurt. Apply to face and let dry completely. Rinse off with lukewarm water. (source)

– 1 egg yolk

– 2 tsp of almond oil

– 1 ripe banana

Combine all ingredients and apply to your face. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. (source)

Avacado and Coconut

– 1/2 an avacado

– 1/2 a tsp coconut oil

– 1/2 a tsp of honey

– 1/2 a tsp of lemon

Mash avacado and combine with other ingredients. Put on your face and allow to sit for 45 minutes.

Sugar Scrub

sugar scrub

I made a peppermint sugar scrub for my friends Christmas gifts and it’s a great exfoliant. I’ve also heard of people using brown sugar for facials. The recipe I found called for 1 tbsp of brown sugar (I’m sure white is fine as well it just may be more harsh on your skin) and 1 tsp of olive oil or coconut oil. Combine ingredients and use to exfoliate your skin. Rinse with warm water.

So there are 4 face masks you can use to make your skin beautiful and smooth. What else have you tried?
